I was photographing an event recently at Marina Jacks in Sarasota, and I happened to look over and grab this adorable shot of a precious little girl clutching her teddy bear.  Isn’t she too sweet?!

Ron Clark comes to Sarasota!

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

I had the privelege of photographing one of the most awesome events yet this past week!  Ron Clark, America’s favorite educator, came to town to speak at Sarasota High School.  I had never heard of him until this day, and once I saw him speak at the event- all I can say is… WOW!  Ron Clark was an everyday teacher who was tired of the school system and it’s rules and restrictions on kids, so he turned things around in his classroom.  His out-of-the-box thinking quickly turned heads, and he has become nationally renowned for his success teaching underpriveleged and inner city kids.  He now operates the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia and his students test scores have far surpassed what anyone might’ve imagined for those kids.  He has been known to sing, dance, stand on tables, and get downright crazy when he’s teaching…it’s just too cool!  Check him out at www.ronclarkacademy.com!  Here are a few shots of the speech…
