Happy Halloween!!!

Friday, October 31st, 2008

Happy Halloween from me and my family!!!  The kids were SO excited because their grandma came from 4,000 miles away to visit us this week, and then Grandpa showed up on the doorstep as a surprise just as we were heading out to trick-or-treat- what a great Halloween present!!  We had SUCH a busy day with all the school’s Halloween festivities (parades, parties, costumes) and then trick-or-treating…then chowing down on candy for an entire hour…and lets not forget building our candy corn graham cracker Haunted House!!!  Now comes the fun part- cleaning up the mess and getting two very hyper kids into bed!

I hope you all had a safe and happy Halloween!

Natasha & Greg’s Engagement Session (Bradenton Engagement Photography)

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Here are a few shots from Natasha and Greg’s recent engagement session.  They are getting married next year and were so relaxed and easy to work with!  For these shots we got to climb to the top of the tower at Emerson Point, which was very awesome and reminded me that I need to work out more!!!  Enjoy the sneak preview….

A Simple Affair (Sarasota Wedding Photography)

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

These two were one of the absolute sweetest couples I’ve worked with!  They had a gorgeous, simple wedding on Anna Maria Island, right across from the Harrington House.   I realized while working with them that even a small and simple wedding can be perfect in a beautiful way- it was all about them, and nobody else.  Congratulations you two!!

Thanks for hanging in there for your pictures- I was out of town last week but I definitely hadn’t forgotten about you =)

Webkinz & Shining Star Halloween Party!!! (Spring Hill Event Photography)

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Kim’s Korner Crafts & Collectibles (www.kimskornercc.com) put together an awesome kids Halloween event up in Spring Hill last weekend that we got to photograph!  It was a Webkinz/Shining Star themed event with a fall & Halloween motif mixed in- crafts, face painting, bounce house, slushies, cotton candy…and prizes too!  They even had a contest for the coolest Webkinz- check out the photos of the winners at the bottom of this post.  My fave was definitely the racecar.

Other than my car breaking down on the way there, it was a huge success!  I have never missed an event and I wasn’t going to start this week =)  Thanks to Cat also for coming along and helping out!!  Enjoy the sneak peak of the pics!

Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival!!!

Monday, October 20th, 2008

October is one of my absolute favorite months of the year (second to December, ’cause nothing beats the Holidays).  So this weekend we took our annual family trip to Hunsader Farms for their fall festival, and we had a blast with our boys, who got some much needed time with mom & dad!  The boys rode the kiddie trains, hayride, jumpy thing (what is that called anyway?!), played on the playground, and ate lots of yummy pizza and barbeque!  What do we love this place so much?  We had scrumptious pumpkin ice cream, and came home with a jar of cinnamon apple butter and three pumpkins.  The air was chilly and crisp yesterday- a perfect intro to fall!  Now…if only the boys would understand that we can’t carve that ole’ pumpkin just yet…I finally broke down and let them decorate their own little pumpkins last night.

Oh, and yes, my son is wearing a 4th of July shirt.  My husband has decided that since he wasn’t allowed to dress himself when he was their age, that he would let them have 100% control over what they wear.  We ended up with a plaid pair of shorts and a Thomas the Tank Engine tank top with one, and camo shorts and a 4th of July shirt for the other.  All my years of fashion coaching, gone out the window….

Gymboree Princess!!!

Friday, October 17th, 2008

I had soooooo much fun with Miss A, because she is such a little princess!  First of all, I am totally obessed with Gymboree children’s clothing- it’s bad enough with my boys, but if I had a girl- woah, watch out!!!  Miss A had an entire wardrobe of adorable Gymbo outfits and was such a trooper when we changed TONS of times!  She also had this little purse that she carries around with her makeup in it- such a girly girl!  I had a blast taking her photos- here are just a few cute ones from our session.  We took a few portraits in Sarasota at Phillipi Creek by the water, and some at home too.
